What Payments Eligible For |
None - holder of a temporary visa. Does not meet the SSAct definition of Australian resident.
The holder of this visa may qualify for CCB if they or their partner are undertaking a course of study in Australia for which they receive direct financial assistance from the Commonwealth.
Examples of direct financial assistance from the Commonwealth are an AusAID Scholarship, Endeavour Award or an International Post Graduate Research Scholarship.
Students on a university scholarship indirectly funded by the Commonwealth are not included.
The student must provide evidence with a letter from the relevant Commonwealth agency, in the form of a Letter of Award or Offer Letter Contract. The CCB claiming process requires the overseas students to provide such supporting documentation, along with meeting all other CCB eligibility criteria.
If there is some doubt about the documentation, the relevant Commonwealth agency should be contacted.
