The following table shows life expectancy (section 9(1)-'life expectancy') factors used for calculating the relevant number (section 9(1)-'relevant number') for males and females. The factors are based on the 1970 to 1972 life tables, published by the AGA.
The table relates to payments that started before 1 July 1983. The relevant number is based on the income support recipient's, or reversionary beneficiary's age, at the beginning of the period to which the first income stream payment relates.
