Explanation: Although the legislation refers to an ABSTUDY approved course, the person does not have to be qualified for ABSTUDY. An ABSTUDY approved course includes all courses approved under the ministerial determination of education institutions and courses (1.1.A.210) as well as some additional ABSTUDY approved courses - refer to 3.8.6.10.
If a manual or counter cheque is made it is necessary to verify that no other EdEP payment has been paid to the recipient in the same calendar year or 12 month period, depending on the primary benefit.
