11.1.9 Third Party Arrangements & Income Management

Introduction

This section explains the arrangements that can be made between the Commonwealth and sellers of goods and services to enable people to make purchases from their income managed funds. The stores and service providers who enter into contractual arrangements with the Commonwealth to participate in income management are known as third party organisations (TPOs). Typically, arrangements are for approving stores to accept BasicsCard (11.1.5.10), and can also include arrangements to make one-off payments for goods or services (11.1.5.70).
