10.14.6 Requirement to Claim a Foreign Benefit - Agreement with Germany

Requirement to claim a benefit from Germany

The Agreement with Germany does not contain special provisions to make it compulsory for people claiming Australian benefits under the Agreement to also claim a benefit from Germany. However, all claimants for Australian benefits are required to take reasonable action to claim any entitlement from overseas, including Germany. See CFP legislation in 7.3.1.
