10.14.2 Terms Used - Agreement with Germany

Defined terms

Article 1 of the Agreement defines key terms used frequently in the Agreement. The reason terms are defined is covered in 10.1.2.20.

Once defined, the terms are used consistently throughout the text of the Agreement unless an Article specifically states otherwise. For this Agreement it is important to note the meaning of:

• benefit,
• carer payment,
• German period of coverage,
• legislation,
• national,
• widowed person.
