For the purposes of DSP and SA, a treating doctor is a medical practitioner (section 23(1)-'medical practitioner') who has or has had the responsibility for the treatment of a person's condition.
A medical practitioner is a person registered and licensed as a medical practitioner under a state or territory law that provides for the registration or licensing of medical practitioners.
