1.1.I.92 Income year (LIS)

Definition

The income year is a full financial year beginning on 1 July and ending 30 June.

A person's qualification for LIS in the present income year is based upon their circumstances in the previous income year. However, the person's relationship status at the time of claiming LIS and whether they have a dependent child at the time of claiming LIS, will determine which income requirement should apply to the person.
