4.2.4.50 Claim Action 5 - Already Entitled to FTB Instalments

Is a letter required?

No.

What to do

The relevant FAO agency must advise the applicant (1.1.A.72):

• that the claim is not effective (1.1.E.10) because they are already entitled to receive FTB by fortnightly payments, and
• they do not need to lodge another claim to trigger a reassessment of their instalment (1.1.I.100) entitlement.

Make whatever changes may be required to the existing assessment of their current entitlement.

An electronic or paper file record of this advice should be kept.
