3.1.2 FTB Rate for ACOs

Rate for ACOs (1.1.A.80)

An ACO that is eligible for FTB Part A receives an annual rate of $1,416.20 for 0-19 year olds (until the end of the calendar year in which they turn 19). ACOs cannot be paid:

  • FTB Part A supplement,
  • bereavement payment of FTB, or
  • FTB Part B.

No income test for ACOs

There is no income test for ACOs.

 

Shared care

An ACO cannot share the care of an FTB child, and therefore cannot be paid a part rate of FTB.

Explanation: A determination to share FTB can only be made when 2 or more individuals share the care of an FTB child. Each individual must care for the child for between 35% and 65% of the assessment period.
