2.8.6.30 Failing to Enter into a JETCCFA EPP

Failure to enter into a JETCCFA EPP

This topic explains the effect of failing to enter into a JETCCFA EPP (1.1.J.95).

If a person has been given a notice of an invitation to enter into a JETCCFA EPP, and:

  • Centrelink is satisfied that the person is unreasonably delaying entering into an agreement, because the person did not attend negotiation of the agreement or respond to correspondence (if any) about the agreement or did not agree to the reasonable terms of the agreement proposed by Centrelink, or
  • for any other reason,

Centrelink may give the person notice in writing stating that the person has failed to enter into the agreement. (If the person has failed to enter into an agreement, they will not be eligible for JETCCFA).

A notice of failure to enter into a JETCCFA EPP must be in writing, set out the reasons for the decision to give the notice and include information on review rights.
