1.1.S.60 Social security benefit

Definition

For the purposes of FA, this term has the same meaning as under the Social Security Act 1991 where it is defined to mean the following payments:

  • newstart allowance,
  • youth allowance,
  • partner allowance,
  • MAA (for people granted that allowance from 1 July 1996),
  • austudy payment,
  • widow allowance,
  • parenting payment (partnered),
  • sickness allowance,
  • special benefit, and
  • parenting allowance (other than non-benefit allowance).
