1.1.N.27 Non-agency payment (NAP)

Definition

For the purposes of FTB, a NAP is a maintenance (1.1.M.10) payment made by a payer (1.1.P.72), who is registered with the CSA:

  • directly to the payee (1.1.P.71) or a third person, and
  • reported to the CSA by the:
    • payer, or
    • payee.

 

NAPs are only applicable to child support cases registered for collection by the CSA.

 

Explanation: The payer pays an amount of child support directly to a payee, who usually has their payments collected and disbursed by the CSA.
