A JETCCFA activity limit is the period of time for which JETCCFA can be paid for a particular type of JETCCFA activity.
Activity limits for all JETCCFA approved activities should be seen as a depository of assistance that a person can use when and where they see it will be most beneficial to them and can be used continuously or intermittently over a period of time up to the total allocation of an activity limit.
As of 9 May 2012, intervening activities are not allowable for study or training activities. For all other JETCCFA activities a person should use the total allocation of an activity limit before being required to undertake an intervening activity, unless exceptional circumstances apply. Once an activity limit is reached, if a person wishes to be reassessed for further assistance they are then required to complete an intervening activity.
From 9 May 2012, a person will only be granted one block of 24 months per qualification for a study or training activity. Where a person has already completed their 24 months JETCCFA for a study or training activity they are not eligible for JETCCFA for a further study or training activity unless a person meets the exceptions criteria (2.8.3.40). This is regardless of whether the person undertakes an intervening activity.
