1.1.I.100 Instalment amount, instalment claim, instalment period (FTB)

Definition: instalment amount

For the purposes of FTB, the instalment amount is the amount of FTB that has accrued for the number of days in the instalment period for which the recipient is entitled. The amount is the total of the daily rates of FTB that apply on each day of the instalment period.

Definition: instalment claim

For the purposes of FTB, an instalment claim for FTB is a claim for the current income year where FTB is paid by fortnightly instalments.

 

Definition: instalment period

For the purposes of FTB, the instalment period is normally a period of 14 days, and each successive period of 14 days. A recipient's FTB delivery day (1.1.P.73) is 2 days later than the end of the instalment period. An instalment period for FTB is the same as an entitlement period for social security payments paid by Centrelink.
