1.1.E.35 Entitlement method (FTB)

Definition

For the purposes of FTB, the entitlement method is the default method used to estimate the amount of maintenance (1.1.M.10) an instalment (1.1.I.100) recipient receives by:

  • private collection (1.1.P.130) of a Child Support assessment, court order or court registered agreement (3.1.6.50), or
  • Child Support collection.

The entitlement method assumes that the recipient is receiving the amount of maintenance that has been assessed by Child Support, or is contained in the court order or court registered agreement unless the recipient advises otherwise.

The entitlement method is based on the amount of maintenance the recipient is entitled to receive.
